From 15-17 April 2011, the 56th Annual Conference of the International Linguistic Association is holding a conference entitled "Globalization, Language, Contact and Language Vitality," at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, New Brunswick, New Jersey, USA.

The keynote speakers are John McWhorter (Columbia University),  Suzanne Romaine (University of Oxford) and Dan Bikel (Google).
