Non-native English teachers: A valuable option for UK Universities |

The number of foreign students enrolling in British Universities has increased in recent years because of the fall in the value of the pound. Consequently, British Universities have found difficulties in finding qualified EAP staff to fill their teaching positions.
Hiring non-native English teachers would be a valuable option for UK Universities, providing that students, and often more importantly their parents, who expect courses to be taught by native English speakers, can overcome the prejudice against non-native English teachers.
