The Vietnamese-American Jiverly Wong became a mass murderer on April 2009, when he shot dead eleven students from his English class and two EFL teachers. Then he commited suicide. He was impulsed by his failure to become fluent in English, in spite of having spent over 20 years in the USA.

His letter to a local T.V. station presaged the worst final:

"I'm Jiverly Wong shooting people. The first I want to say is sorry I know a little English. I hope you understand all of this."

According to "EL Gazette", Wong was a "cultural misfit" enraged by his recent failure in an English exam.  The paranoid delusions he was suffering, triggered the whole drama.
