ISRAEL: The TEFL market is booming. E-mail

The understaffed state school system has made Israel's Ministry of Education launch the "Teachers for Israel" initiative, under which, 1,000 qualified EFL teachers will be recruited from English speaking countries.

TEFL-ers are required a take a subsidised course and learn basic Hebrew to facilitate a better communication with other teachers and parents.
