Costa Rica: Government's objective is to improve English teaching E-mail

"Costa Rica Bilingual" is a program promoted by the Education Ministry. According to Alejandra Mata, the Vice-Minister of the Education Ministry, the objective of this program is to improve classroom management of those English teachers who have experienced difficulty giving English classes.

The Education Ministry will finance 62 centres throughout Costa Rica, so that teachers can attend English classes in order to complete their training. Thanks to this program, the Government hopes that by 2017, 75% of high schools students will be proficient in English.
